Description
The logo and identity for the Communications Council is a response to a collaborative brief provided by representatives of the Council’s founding members - Advertising Federation of Australia), The Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association and the Account Planning Group.
Designing an identity that is creative, forward looking, interesting, savvy, cutting edge and intriguing, whilst at the same time able to garner respect in company boardrooms and in Canberra is an interesting ambition on it’s own.
To make this ultimately work we divided the project into two sections;
‘the logo’ and ‘the visual identity’.
The logo is supported by a playful visual identity featuring dozens of different C’s. These elements together form a dynamic graphic representation as diverse as its members, constantly evolving, clearly representing the Council’s fresh and exciting intentions.’
What promised to be without of a doubt an interesting design challenge, considering the shear amount of design savvy voices involved in the Councils decision making process, ultimately proofed to be a very satisfying design process resulting in an unanimous decision between all parties involved.
